Day Services

At our Barn Centre site we run a full programme of day activities which are developed by involving individuals, their families and health professionals where appropriate.

These are designed to encourage personal development and the acquisition of new skills and include:

  • Enterprise Craft - we have our own Etsy Shop and Shopify Site
  • Model Railway
  • Dancing - Ballroom, Line Dancing
  • Computer Skills
  • Communication Skills and Makaton

  • Social events including Hub Nights and Supper Clubs
  • ...and many more

In addition to the day centre, there are three acres of horticultural land with a greenhouse providing opportunities for growing our own fruit, vegetables and flowers. Our goal is to open a farm shop!

The day services are accessed by individuals living in the local community, as well as the individuals living in our residential and supported living settings. This offers opportunities to develop friendships and relationships outside the homes.

The organisation has been operating for forty years, and the founder is in the process of setting up a new charity "The Baronsmede Trust" which will take over operations in the Autumn 2026, to maintain and protect services into the future.
